Threads is the latest social network created by Mark Zuckerberg, patron of Meta and creator of Facebook.

How do social Threads

The social networking site is characterised by its similarity to Twitter, the social networking site purchased in recent months by Elon Musk and which allows users to express opinions, judgements, impressions and interact with celebrities in just 280 characters (10k only for Twitter Blue subscribers).

Threads has attracted and convinced subscribers worldwide, setting the record for reaching one hundred million subscribers in the social networking era.

Why all this success and how does Threads work?

Let’s find out together in this article!

How it works

Meta’s new social network is based on threads, which in Italian means ‘threads’, limited-length texts with which to start (or end) debates, express opinions on current trends or recount one’s day.

The way it works is very reminiscent of Twitter: Threads is a simple, direct social, far removed from the current ecosystem where videos, reels and photos dominate the scene.

How many characters can I use on Threads

The maximum number of characters that can be used on Threads is 500.

A larger number compared to the 280 characters that can be used on Twitter.

How to download the app

For android just go to Google Store, type in the name of the app and click on download.

For iPhone, simply go to the Apple Store, type in the name of the app and click on download.

Conclusion

The arrival of Threads in Italy has been underway since April 2023 and there is a lot of curiosity as to what it will achieve in the future. In the meantime, the data is encouraging thanks to the surpassed records of app downloads and registered users compared to all other social networks.

In light of this, we ask ourselves: will Meta’s social networking site be able to overshadow Twitter or will we be faced with the next ClubHouse?

We just have to wait!
